Hi; Any good automotive oil that meets the SAE standard will give good service and protection in motorcycles. The key to motor longevity is changing the oil and filter on a regular schedule, and more often than the family car. We hear a lot about clutch slippage problems on the forum due to using the synthetic oils. Harley Davidson and others claim their brands are specially formulated to hold up under crankcase and gearcase pressures but in 50 years of motorcycling I have used Valvoline and Pennzoil with good results and have never had a motor failure due to the oil.
